Another year is wrapping up, and there is so much to be thankful for. This year has been as challenging as ever, and our customers, associates, and communities have met the challenges. I couldn’t be more proud of how our Heartland Bank associates have supported customers again this year with assistance with everything from terrible weather issues to the challenges of grain price volatility and a rising interest rate environment. Our NorthPointe Insurance associates once again went above and beyond to assist customers with weather claims. Additionally, Heartland Trust Company associates continued to work with families on important succession issues, as well as providing valuable trust administration services to our clients. Our investment professionals at Sandstone Wealth Management provided valuable guidance to grow and preserve capital in a difficult investment climate. Finally, our Heartland bankers continued to work diligently each and every day to anticipate customer needs and provide valuable financial advice to our customers.
Once again, we have been named one of the “Best Banks to Work For” in the country by the leading national banking magazine American Banker. We have the best team of bankers in the state, and I couldn’t be more proud to lead such an outstanding group of associates. We have 120 talented associates now, and we brought eight new associates to Heartland Bank this year. We also initiated one of the few Management Training programs in the state which demonstrates our commitment to bringing on talented young associates and investing in their future. We will continue bringing on the most talented associates available, so you can have confidence in the future of Heartland Bank. Our young, talented associates also keep us current on developing trends and what the next generation of bank customers need for their financial futures.
