As the fall hunting season approaches, archers across Nebraska will be gearing up for their next hunt. Countless hours will be spent in the bitter cold dusk and dawn, sitting in hunting stands and blinds, patiently waiting for that perfect shot. Oftentimes, hunters only get one single opportunity in a season to make the kill. Fortunately for hunters around Hastings, they now have a new facility to hone their skills year-round, allowing them to confidently take the shot when their target aligns perfectly in their sights.
The Archery Solutions, LLC facility, is a 175 feet by 68 feet indoor archery range, offering a wide array of shots and setups. Jeff Anderson, the founder of Archery Solutions, saw a need for an indoor, heated structure that is open year round to all archers. He has invested much of his time and money in making Archery Solutions possible.
“The main goal for Archery Solutions would be to have a growing and very vibrant youth program that is developing competitive archers in Nebraska and possibly nationally or internationally. Another motivation is for the community to have access to the building as much as possible so that we can grow the whole archery sport in Central Nebraska,” said Jeff Anderson.
Archery Solutions provides a place for community members to learn new archery techniques or simply to practice shooting various targets. It also provides an opportunity for businesses to get involved through sponsorship.
“When someone comes out to Archery Solutions and sees that somebody is sponsoring the activities, I think it sends the message that you care about the community and you want to support the community. I hope that all of the businesses that have sponsored Archery Solutions have benefited from that,” said Jeff Anderson.
For Heartland Bank, being a supporter of Archery Solutions and a partner with Jeff Anderson, who is a customer of the bank, is a valuable relationship.
“It’s really important for us, as a community bank, to be involved in projects like Archery Solutions. It is helping youth in the community by providing the facilities for youth events and clubs. As a community bank, it is a natural fit. We really believe in improving the lives of our customers, our associates, and our communities. I think this is a great example of a project where we could really do all of those things,” said Jeremy Anderson, Regional President of Heartland Bank.
Local businessman Jeb Brant, who is also a customer of the bank, enjoys many of his Sunday afternoons by taking his kids to Archery Solutions not only to utilize the state-of-the-art facility, but to also teach his children how to safely and efficiently use a bow.
“It gets them excited about archery, and it teaches them archery safety. To have their license, they have to participate in an archery safety class. This teaches them the proper methods of handling a bow and how to successfully take down a target with a well placed shot,” said Jeb Brant. “I live downtown and do not have a backyard to go out and shoot at, so Archery Solutions is a phenomenal place for us to spend an afternoon.”
Archery Solutions is located at 9391 Osborne Dr W. just north of Hastings, Nebraska. The building is open to the public on Tuesday from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Saturday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, and Sunday from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
