The Nebraska State Patrol says the call looks like it's coming from them, and will tell the victim that they are subject to a warrant or need to pay a fine.
NSP says they do not contact the public in those ways, so don't fall for it.
According to the Better Business Bureau, a government entity or law enforcement agency will never contact you by phone asking for money, and unfortunately, with these types of scams if you wire money to anyone, you will never get that money back.
