Heartland Trust donates to Shickley Community Foundation

Strong communities are built through collaboration, generosity, and shared vision. That’s why Heartland Bank was honored to join the Shickley Community Foundation’s annual donor appreciation dinner on November 21, celebrating the impact of local philanthropy and supporting a campaign centered on community progress.

Heartland Bank and the Earl & Jessie Wilkins Fund, a donor advised fund operating under the Fillmore County Foundation, made a combined donation of $25,000 to help support the fundraising efforts of the Homegrown Challenge Campaign.

Heartland Trust Company President Lucas Swartzendruber and Heartland Bank Senior Vice President & Chief Risk Officer Kevin Parde presented the $25,000 gift to Gerald Stengel and Richard Walter (pictured above).

With these gifts, the Shickley Community Foundation says they have raised $248,000 of the $300,000 campaign goal.

We are grateful for the opportunity to invest in Shickley’s future, and appreciate the Foundation’s continued commitment to strengthening the community we proudly serve.
