Heartland Bank Celebrates 7th Year as Best Bank to Work For

Heartland Bank is honored to be named one of the Best Banks to Work For in 2025 by American Banker magazine, marking our seventh year on this prestigious list. This recognition celebrates banks across the nation that go above and beyond to create an exceptional workplace culture, where employees feel valued, supported, and inspired to make a difference.

The Best Banks to Work For program is an industry-respected evaluation that looks at both an organization’s policies and the employee experience. The evaluation includes detailed surveys of bank leadership around workplace practices and culture, and anonymous employee surveys assessing their experience.

Banks that earn the honor consistently demonstrate strong leadership engagement, a culture of belonging and development, meaningful recognition and benefits, and active investment in employee experiences.

Determining the Best Banks to Work For involves a two-step process. The first step involves an evaluation of participating companies’ workplace policies, practices, and demographics. Second, employees are surveyed to assess their experience and engagement in working for their employer. The combined scores determine the top banks and the final ranking.
