At Heartland Bank, the health and well-being of our customers, associates, and the communities we serve is and has always been our top priority. According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), COVID-19 poses little immediate risk of exposure to most people in the U.S. However, we continue to monitor this evolving situation closely. We want to share the steps we are taking at our branches to help keep our customers and associates healthy.

Our associates are taking the necessary precautions to remain healthy by following the CDC and the World Health Organization guidelines. We are also taking the following precautions:

  • Our branches are cleaned daily as part of our business practices. We have revisited procedures with associates to re-emphasize the importance of hand washing and cleaning in public areas. Over the past few weeks, we have increased those cleanings and added hand sanitizers for our customers and associates.
  • Prevention education has been provided to associates and we are advising them to practice social distancing, stay home if they are not feeling well, or if circumstances might advise them to do so and to seek medical attention if they have symptoms.
  • Our branch locations remain open, but we encourage our customers to utilize the drive-thru windows, night drop and ATMs as much as possible. View a list of our ATM locations here.

Pandemic Plan

We have reviewed our Pandemic Plan and implemented actions to assess any possible impact by COVID-19. Our plan is reviewed by Federal and State Banking Agencies and is annually tested by our associates to ensure it meets regulatory standards. We have secure technology in place, which allows much of our staff to work from home if needed.

Digital Services

We strongly encourage customers to utilize our digital tools and bank virtually anywhere, anytime, and from any device. Enroll in online banking by visiting us at MyHeartland.Bank and with our Heartland Bank Mobile app to:

  • Access your accounts 24 hours a day.
  • Mobile deposit
  • Bill-pay services
  • Transfer funds

Our CardValet® is also an excellent digital resource to:

  • Get real-time notifications when your card is used.
  • Enable and disable your cards to be used within specific merchant categories such as gas and groceries, hotel, and travel.

As we monitor the situation closely, we are prepared to take additional steps for the benefit of our customers, associates, and the community as new information and best practices emerge. In the meantime, we look forward to conducting business as usual.
