Heartland Bank would like to remind our customers to remain vigilant for scams related to COVID-19. With the current state of the nation, scammers are taking advantage of those who are trying to learn more about the virus.
Cyber hackers have been sending emails with malicious attachments or links to fraudulent websites attempting to trick recipients into revealing sensitive information or donating to fraudulent charities or causes. Please be leery when handling any email with a COVID-19-related subject line, attachment, or hyperlink, or any social media pleas, texts, or calls related to the virus.
Be advised that you should only open links and visit websites of trusted sources.
