Heartland Bank Announces Scholarship Recipients

Congratulations to the Heartland Bank Foundation Scholarship recipients!

The Heartland Bank Foundation was established in 2019 to provide grants to community projects and scholarships to local students in the communities in which Heartland Bank operates.

This bank scholarship was previously administered by the Trust for Higher Education for Graduates, established by Earl H. Wilkins, which only served Fillmore County students. In an effort to make the scholarships inclusive of all Heartland Bank communities, the new foundation now administers the scholarships.

For the 2023-2024 academic year, a total of 10 scholarships were awarded to students in the communities served by Heartland Bank. Congratulations to the scholarship award winners and all 2023 graduates!

Aurora 
Sarah Springer plans to attend the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and study Fisheries & Wildlife Management.

Burwell
Kassidy Rambat plans to attend Fort Hays State University and study Diagnostic Medical Imaging.

Sydney Skalsky plans to attend South Dakota State University and study Animal Science and Agribusiness.

Daykin
Bailey Holtmeier plans to attend Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture and study Animal Science.

Fillmore Central (Geneva, Fairmont, Grafton, Shickley) 
Reyna Hafer plans to attend Concordia University and study Criminal Justice.

Mason Simacek plans to attend Southeast Community College and study Automotive Technology.

Faith Engle plans to attend Concordia University and study Agribusiness.

Mariah Sliva is a second-year award winner who attends Doane University and is studying Secondary Education for Mathematics/Math & Data Analytics.

Grand Island
Kajetan Hubl plans to attend either the University of Nebraska – Lincoln or Regis University and study Psychology.

Hastings
Logan Brooks plans to attend either Doane University or the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and study Computer Science.
