Strong communities are built through collaboration, generosity, and shared vision. That’s why Heartland Bank was honored to join the [Shickley Community Foundation](https://www.shickleycommunityfoundation.org/)’s annual donor appreciation dinner on November 21, celebrating the impact of local philanthropy and supporting a campaign centered on community progress.

Heartland Bank and the Earl & Jessie Wilkins Fund, a donor advised fund operating under the [Fillmore County Foundation](https://www.fillmorecountyfoundation.org/), made a combined donation of $25,000 to help support the fundraising efforts of the [Homegrown Challenge Campaign](https://www.nebcommfound.org/give/shickley-community-foundation-fund/).

Heartland Trust Company President Lucas Swartzendruber and Heartland Bank Senior Vice President & Chief Risk Officer Kevin Parde presented the $25,000 gift to Gerald Stengel and Richard Walter *(pictured above)*.

With these gifts, the Shickley Community Foundation says they have raised $248,000 of the $300,000 campaign goal.

We are grateful for the opportunity to invest in Shickley’s future, and appreciate the Foundation’s continued commitment to strengthening the community we proudly serve.
