These scams often use caller ID spoofing, a technique that makes it appear as though the call is coming directly from a legitimate bank phone number. The caller may claim there’s an issue with your company’s account, an urgent wire or ACH concern, or a need to “verify” account credentials.
While these calls may sound convincing, they are not from Heartland Bank or any trusted financial institution.
Please remember, our employees will never ask for your online banking login or password over the phone. If you receive a suspicious call from a person purporting to be from Heartland Bank, hang up and contact your local branch immediately.
